  • I got to try The Naaco Truck on the day they first opened at Kingsland Farmers Market so I'm not sure if it's fair to review their service. We got there around 11:45 am and got our orders of beef vindaloo and pork boxes (both with mogo) and smoresas about an hour later. My husband and I were actually thinking of giving up and just getting a shawarma wrap from the market but pride kicked in so we waited. The truck is a very fun looking truck with its colorful paint and cartoon character on the side. It also has a herb garden on top which tells me they strive to use the freshest ingredients. I find the window where you order and get your order a little too high though. I'm average height and i still had to tiptoe both when i handed my money and when i received my order. The flavor of the beef vindallo was amazing! The meat was a little wet which soaked the bread but I didn't mind since I like my food a little messy. The pork had ok flavors but i wish they balanced out the sweetness a little with another flavor as it can be overwhelming. I didn't really know what mogos are so I just had to order. I still don't know what they are but they are pretty much fries substitute - make sure to season them with any of the four seasonings they have (i think i combined three diff powders). Lastly, the smoresas. The one i got was filled with all chocolatey goodness that i craved it for a week! The piece my husband got was "meh" since it was mostly wrapper and not much filling - maybe they can work on the consistency of their food. I loved that they thanked me for some short comments i posted on twitter and that they did not become defensive about my comments regarding points to improve on. Overall, im impressed with the flavors that they're bringing to the streets of Calgary but I'm not at that stalk-them-in-twitter phase just yet.Maybe if someone can say that the consistency of their food and the service has improved, maybe I'll turn to a fan :)
