| - Absolutely the BEST hotel stay that I have ever had! We traveled to Pittsburgh for my birthday and I decided to splurge our first night there on a really nice room. The hotel is really top-notch in every way: staff, appearance, amenities, etc. When we arrived, we were very warmly greeted by the 2 front desk employees. I asked if the free cocktail hour was over and she said yes, but handed my BF and I wine! I asked if there was a tub in the room, and was informed that for only $40 additional, I could book their King Spa room. I've NEVER been more happy that I did. Our beautiful room had a HUGE bathroom with a giant soaking tub in the middle of it (along with a shower if you didn't want to use the tub). They even provided bergamot bath salts that smelled incredible. I took 2 baths while I stayed there and it was sooooo relaxing. The bathroom had full-sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that smelled so amazing too. In our room, there was a long list of items that could be loaned to you free of charge and I took advantage of the professional hair dryer, the Keurig, and a floor fan (I like it for the sound when I'm sleeping), and toothpaste. There were also 2 very comfy bathrobes provided as well. The bed was very comfortable and we heard absolutely NO noise while we stayed. The hallways also smelled like heaven from whatever they either use on the carpet or some type of atomizer. The only complaint that I had was that on one of the side tables near the bed, there were 2 bottles of water. Since I didn't ask for the key to the mini bar, I assumed they were free. My boyfriend stopped me from opening the smaller one as he saw that on the cap, it said $4 on it. That would be have been VERY easy to overlook--I did! Other than that, everything was perfect. I would note that their parking is valet-only for $38. And there is a garage I parked in directly across the street from 8pm to noon the next day for only $6. There is a rooftop bar, but one of the front desk women gave me directions to a store that sold 6-packs of beer about half a mile away that worked out a little better.
I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for any special or romantic stay you may have in Pittsburgh. We both loved it!
