| - Great desserts, but quite on the expensive side.
I had the place bookmarked for a while before I actually found the opportunity to go give it a try. I had a hard time looking for the dessert shop while I arrived at the New Kennedy Square plaza, because the plaza was massive there were already many restaurants around. Good thing my friends suggested that we try looking for it at the food court when circling around the plaza yielded no luck.
The store...well actually just a food court booth, was very small and the customers essentially had to sit at the food court tables, as it was just a dessert booth and not an actual cafe. There were 2 staffs working at the store, which one took the customers' orders while the other made the desserts. The girl who took our orders was was friendly and took the time to explain to us the different options and combos.
I got the Sesame Seaweed Waffle + Houjicha Softserve, which came down to roughly $10, so this place is definitely very expensive. It took them around 10 minutes to make my order, but it was nice that the egg waffle was fresh from the waffle press. The egg waffle was different that the ones that I'd tried at Pacific Mall as it was mainly a crispy shell with very few content on the inside, as opposed to the traditional ones that are crispy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. I am not a huge fan of their egg waffles. The Houjicha Softserve was definitely something that I could get used to though, as the flavour was unique and the texture was really smooth.
While we were hanging out at the food court enjoying our delicious desserts, we noticed that the shop was very popular as there were many young people lining up waiting to order. However, despite the great taste, I don't think I'll be back for a second visit due to the price.
