| - My company caters breakfast from here once a month or so. I've loved it every time.
This morning, I decided to grab a sandwich on the way to the office. I ordered the Manorville because I'm a sucker for avocado. Plus the turkey, swiss and tomato combo was going to be light enough to fill me up, but not slow me down early in the morning.
Sadly, it came up remarkably short of my expectation. A few bites into the sandwich, I thought they'd forgotten to add any avocado. My next bite had me completely confused.
It was crunchy.
Mind you, it was turkey, avocado, swiss, and tomato.
I opened the sandwich to find three, one-inch, completely unripe chunks of avocado buried under the tomato.
When ordering a sandwich with avocado it's reasonable to expect the slices to actually resemble an avocado. It's also reasonable to expect them to be ripe. Not to resemble a crisp apple.
Suggestion to management, spin up your team on proper avocado etiquette. What a proper slice looks like and most importantly, when a avocado is ripe.
Luckily, they've been great to my company, so I'll continue to let them pay for my breakfast from here on out.
