  • Damn you Travel Channel! You are the main reason I can never lower the cable bill. I simply can't risk removing you off my bundle! When Travel Channel boasts Wicked Spoon as one of the best buffets in Las Vegas- you can BET this is a definite stop during our 3 & 1/2 day getaway. What drew me during the segment was the servings were made out in the stainless steel dishes for some of these tasty delights. So, after having our table assigned- hubby & I didn't know how to plan our stick for our breakfast visit. My eyes drew me to the closest buffet section... but, the "Organized Jojo" inside of me knew it was better to start at one end. And I'm glad I did! So, On the far end was the Oxtail Pho broth & fixings. I made a bowl- and the broth pot is plentiful w/ chunks of tender oxtail floating. You can see the grease from the oxtail collecting at the top of the broth. The noodles provided are super thin like fideo/ angel hair. I put some bean sprouts on my plate & soy sauce to drizzle. Added green onions & chili paste in my pho. Along with this plate- I had a decent heap of Salted Pepper shrimp & calamari. I actually sucked the shrimp heads after I yanked them off! Oh so crispy & salted well! My next plate- Bone marrow (say what?!) & garlic soaked crostini; Jamaican Jerk Chicken- you can choose if you want light/ dark meat; Chittara pasta w/ truffle, Italian sausage, & duck egg; and a serving of the buttered mashed potatoes & beef gravy. My first time having bone marrow & was super stoked it's served in a buffet! ERMAGOSH!!!! That crostini didn't fail paired w/ it. I normally despise eating white meat from chicken- but- wowsers! I picked a leg & a good chunk of breast meat from the Jamaican jerk chicken- even snagged a grilled lime half from the same serving board- drizzled that citrus on my jerk chicken & was really impressed how juicy & tender that breast is! Mix all that creaminess in my pasta w/ sausage, duck egg & truffle- this is why I skipped out on choosing the typical breakfast fare served at this buffet. There is plenty of french toast (hubby got this) & it looked pillowy & yummy. Bagels, toasts, bacon, sausage, eggs... There was Angry Mac & Cheese; deep fried chicken; a fresh sushi bar!; more Asian cuisine!!!! Pizza & pasta.... The dessert section was delicious too! I helped myself to servings of Tres Leches w/ a fresh raspberry & raspberry crisps; Apple cobbler cheesecake; carrot cake; & a Bourbon white chocolate chip bread pudding! Breakfast price for adults $28 Go visit!!!!
