  • This company was purchased by a corporation approximately a year ago. Since that time, the service has declined and it is truly all about money. I have a friend whose dog needed surgery and was quoted $5,500 (low end) and $7,000 (high end). She was told she would have to pay the entire "low end quote" in order for her dog to have surgery THAT AFTERNOON. When she advised them that she could not afford that but could pay 1/2 the fee that day and the remainder the next day, they refused and sent her packing with her dog who had an obstruction and needed surgery. I get that it is a business and they have to pay their bills, but it was a sad experience. My friend was able to go to Vet Er petvetnow.com across the street and received treatment for her dog and 1/2 the cost of VetMed. Be cautious going to VetMed as you will just be another $ in their bank account.
