I needed a quick cheap place to stay because I had a long layover in Vegas on my way to the East Coast. The pictures looked great online and it seemed pretty nice for the price. I was terribly wrong! I had been flying all day. I didn't arrive until midnight on a Thursday. The very first thing that went terribly wrong -the complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. I called the hotel as I stood waiting on the ground level shuttle pick up area of the McCarran Airport. The lady on the phone gave me the cell phone number of the shuttle bus driver and told me to just call them to find out where they were. It seemed like over 30 minutes before they arrived. The driver answered and explained that he was not at the shuttle pick up area but at another part of the airport entirely. He was short with me on the phone and in person. I finally arrived at the Fortune Hotel. I was greeted with a long line of about 10 people and two ladies working the front desk. Twenty minutes later when I finally get to the front of the line I was glared at by a woman with her hair pulled up in a bun by a hair clip, who was wearing a black camisole tank top with her bra straps exposed with a cell phone hanging out of her left bra area & resting on her chest. I wish I was joking. They made it such a hassle to check in and stated it was a cash only hotel. Who would have known? There were no signs, nothing on their website that mentioned this. On the walk to my room I noticed multiple large buckets in the hallways with water leaking from the ceiling. It was gross and felt very unsanitary because the left over water in the buckets looked like they had not been changed in some time. I get to my room, left over hair in the shower. I didn't even want to examine the beds, I just wanted to go to sleep for a couple hours and get out of there. Beware, you get what you pay for. Horrible service and an unclean hotel room.
