| - I come here from time to time as it's the closest Asian grocery store around. I wouldn't say it's better than B-trust or T&T, but it's still decent.
In terms of a grocery store, it's got good stuff. At least when I'm looking for things it's because I want to make cà phê sa ?á and I need to pick up condensed milk and coffee. Or I need a big pho bowl for my obsessive golden turtle takeout binge. It's got good stuff.
The other reason I come is for the hot food. I honestly don't like the BBQ Pork from here, it's got a pork flavour to it. Which sounds odd, but pork can either taste like everywhere else or it can have this stronger flavour that I personally dislike. It's moist though, not dry at all. I don't like the sui mai that much either, but that's just me being picky again. The fried rice is also not up to my standards, but it's a good start if you don't want to fry rice yourself, could easily be made into something great.
But I don't come for the pork, I'm a bigger fan of the ho fan. It's amazing. Just perfect here. Then the cheong fun, that's also great. Especially when you forget to eat throughout the day, it's cheap and tasty. Their Singapore style vermicelli isn't really my thing, but I'm really picky as that's my favourite noodle dish of all time. Lastly, the krupuk udang is amazing here. All oily and fresh out the fryer, it's good.
So that's about it for me here. Oh and the lines move pretty quickly.
