| - Back in October '11, I had gone to this location, so I am making this review based on 1 & only 1 visit back then.
The positives:
Store layout great. Clothing price - pricey for the non sale items, but when you get clearance, the sales rack - you can find awesome deals.
The Cons:
Lack of professionalism
Lack of common courtesy
Lack of customer service
Lack of Management
Here's what happened:
The day & time I went, no management presence. If they weren't freshman or sophomores in college, they were high school employees. On with the experience.
No greeting upon entering. (kinda hard to miss a customer w/ a toddler in a stroller)
1 gal (actually working, doing her job of restocking the shelves) in the front corner - gabbing away with another female co-worker (who was literally standing with her elbow resting on a clothing rack) for at least 15 minutes. (to the gal who was doing her job - kudos)
1 gal at the cashier desk doing her job checking out a customer.
1 male at the cashier desk who had just finished checking a customer out.
Now, I'm standing at the line where it says "line starts here" for at least 15 minutes to simply ask a question regarding a product. The young man who had finished his transaction turns his head around, sees me waiting, but instead of assisting me - walks off to the back. Kinda disturbing - after about 5 minutes, I politely state to the other cashier "excuse me, I just have a quick question", her reply to me in a very rude and huffy manner. "I'm busy, I'll be with you later." Wow, wasn't expecting that. Meanwhile a different employee comes out from the back, sees me standing in line, turns promptly around and walks off. Now I'm starting to get annoyed - three different employees not willing to assist. So I move closer to the register to wait for someone to appear so I can ask my question. Another couple goes to the line, and they know I'm waiting. The gal who was stocking up front (and clearly saw me standing and waiting by the register) goes to the register and offers to assist the next couple behind me. I'm floored at this point. And I say very loudly EXCUSE ME I HAVE A SIMPLE QUESTION, AND I HAVE NOW BEEN OVERLOOKED BY AT LEAST 3 DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES HERE. CAN I PLEASE HAVE SOME ASSISTANCE. The gal who was helping the customers behind me says in a very nasty tone "you weren't standing in line". By this point I was ANGERED. FINALLY the first female cashier was ready to help out - and I said loudly enough for EVERYONE to hear in the store how I was overlooked by several employees, how individuals were standing in the front of the store not doing anything, other employees readily available to help and basically refused a customer. I promptly handed her the items, and said, "Put them back, I don't want to make purchases here because of your poor attitude and lack of customer service." I think I even was loud enough to where other potential customers walked out because of what I said. The cashier retorts with an attitude of something similar to a "well excuuuuuse me". No sense of professionalism, nor even an ounce of being apologetic.
Getting back to my vehicle after I had calmed down enough, I promptly called the customer service line, and proceeded to explain what happened. The representative I spoke with was aghast by my experience and profusely apologized and said that is NOT appropriate employee behavior nor what the store is about, and promptly put in the word to the district manager based on this visit.
The District Manager called me the following week, and was appalled to hear how poorly the employees were behaving to customers. She even admitted there was no close supervision at this particular location, and agreed management presence was needed. I pray something has been done, because the reputation of this store location has followed to other areas.
Last wk. I went to the Children's Place off West Tropical in NLV. I LOVE that location. I admit to begin with, I was extremely hesitant to enter, based on the experience at the Premium Outlet, but this was a night & day difference. The individuals working there are awesome! And VERY kind! I was promptly greeted while they were assisting others, asked if I needed help with anything. As I was perusing the clothing, & picking up some outfits, I was offered a bag to use for holding my items! I did have a slight glitch at that store with a gift card that had been demagnatized somehow. It did take a little while to fix the problem, but I was patient, and understanding. While the situation was being handled, I relayed my complete satisfaction & my complete surprise to how different it was in comparison with the Premium Outlet. The cashier even admitted to me in a low voice, yeah - that location is known for extremely poor service.
So I know I'm not the only one who has had bad experiences at the Premium location. Save the trip - go to another store, online ANYWHERE but the Premium Outlet Store!
