My experience with CSN has been for the most part a positive one. Some staff are very accommodating and some not so much. Out of all of the campuses, West Charleston is definitely the best one. The tuition fees are reasonable as most experiences I have had with professors and the quality of their teaching has been great. The teachers for the most part are very caring and personable. I only ever had one bad experience with a history professor who no longer works there (according to a professor who took his position.) My only issue with this school is that there is no feeling or sense of being a part of a community. The school doesn't seem to try and build a school spirit if you will. I think that is why I cannot wait to experience other schools in the state or out of state once I graduate from here. This school is a great stepping stone for completing your required courses at a cheaper tuition rate, and completing a general transfer degree to get automatically accepted into UNLV, NSC, and UNR. Also, I wish CSN updated their hideous D building interior. It is painted with these cheesy blue, purple, and yellow colors making it look very unrefined and almost like they're trying to be "hip". I've seen some elementary schools with a more modern and refined look. All in all, this school is a great place to get your foot into a 4-year university.
