| - I got a gel manicure on Friday of last week just prior to the Pittsburgh Jazz Festival activities commenced. By Saturday two nails had chipped. By Wednesday, several of my nails were jagged on the bottom. I called on Wednesday, explaining this to a gentleman on the phone. He took my name down and told me to just stop in. My schedule precluded me from taking him up on the offer until today.
I went into the salon, and a gentleman with an English accent told me to have a seat. An Asian woman, apparently the owner, looked at my nails and said it would be free but ten dollars for a color change. She asked who did my nails and I identified the nail tech responsible for this subpar job. I sat and waited. About a minute later she returned and began with the excuses. "It's been a week. I have to charge you." I explained that the chipping began as early as the next day and that I called Wednesday. I simply couldn't come by sooner because of my schedule. She then retorted that some of my nails were chipped as though I peeled them. I explained that I did peel some of them, because they kept catching on my clothes and in my hair, again due to the horrific job the nail tech did on them. She stood her ground and maintained she couldn't do them.
This has never happened to me before and I get gel manicures regularly. My usual spot is Rainbow Nails in Squirrel Hill, but I came here because I was pressed for time. In a word, I was desperate. However, no amount of desperation will ever lead me to B&T Nails again. They have no concept of customer service, nor do they stand behind their work. Skip B&T Nails all together. It's the worst nail experience I've ever had in all my years.
