| - Slowly more and more bakeries are starting to make macarons and i couldn't be happier. We came to La Bamboche last Sunday, and ordered 4 different flavours. To start i had the yuzu, and that is one of my fave current flavours, it was tart and delicious. The next was the cassis, and i usually prefer buttercream, but that was made with a ganache, and the berry and chocolate just went so well together. After that, my experience turned south. I tried the salted caramel, and there was the tiniest drop of caramel in the middle, not a sufficient amount to flavour the macaron. Also the pistachio was really bland.
This shop caters to a lot of wealthy people, it is a splurge to come here. There was a customer ahead of me and she spent over $100 on a cake and macarons, and she was .10 cents short, and she told the girl she had to run out to her car and get the change. I handed over the dime, you would think that if someone just spent over 100 dollars that you could waive the dime that they were short.
Overall, when i go back i will stick to the yuzu and cassis, because they were one of the best that i have yet to devour.
