What a great opportunity to see a living legend in a small theater. Although I was one of the younger folks in the audience (and I'm not that young), I really enjoyed this show. A little bit of singing and music are highlights in this Q&A format show. The show will vary nightly based on the questions received from the audience. It's very different from any other show in town. Wayne somehow manages to mix the past and the present beautifully. The pace of the show is good, and the music is placed at just the right time. His drummer assists by finding video and audio clips to share on demand when needed. The real gems are the stories Wayne tells based off questions submitted from the audience. His lovely wife reads the questions and their banter is really warm and funny. His band is small but excellent. He told a wonderful story about a duet on the BBC with Glenn Campbell and you could see his genuine concern for his old friend who is battling Alzheimer's. Also evident was his love and gratitude for the military and for the people who helped him with his career and navigating Las Vegas life as such a young performer.
Even if you are just slightly curious, I'd recommend this show. These guys won't be around forever, and the history you get a chance to hear first hand is worth it. Wayne and his wife provide a genuine and heartfelt show that is a nice change from the usual shows in town.
