The wait for L&D was insane..... About a 3 day delay, but so very worth the wait. In my opinion, this hospital is overcrowded and understaffed; however; the quality of employees on hand is very hard to match. They all always have a ton on their plates, yet they take all the time you need and never leave you feeling insignificant. The doctors and nurses in the L&D and PP wards were top notch - always going above and beyond to make everything as perfect as can be. They even gave my wife a little Cake with a cute note congratulating us. The hospital itself is very clean - as it should be. They have a robotic surgery ward (not for performing surgery ON robots) and a helicopter for extreme emergencies. The parking lot is never full. The entire hospital staff is always all smiles from the moment you walk through the door. It was a 20 minute drive from my house, but I'm happy this is the hospital we went to. My wife's room had a great view of the mountains and the sunrise. Great to wake up to (if baby let's you sleep, that is). Many people dog this hospital, but take it from me they are not being honest. Sure, you can't please everyone, but Summerlin Hospital definitely did right by us. Thanks to EVERYONE there...even the gift shop guy.
