To be honest, this place is okay for vaccinations because it's only vaccines and they charge so cheap on Sundays. That's my one star for them. However, please do not ever bring your pets here for something other than vaccines. The doctor is so unprofessional and you can see it right away. My puppy had bumps on his skin and the doctor said "it's definitely allergies." No skin scrape done, nothing. So he went straight to medication. He also have him a steroid/allergy shot. My puppy moved and so the vet literally scraped him with the needle causing him to cry and made him bleed. What did the vet do? He said "see you next week" and walked away. I had to stay behind in the room to clean up his blood with tissues. Not to mention it cost me almost $200 for the "physical exam" and medicine that did absolutely nothing to my puppy. One week later, I take him back and the vet says he looks worse. Really? I wouldn't have known if you didn't tell me that. Still no skin scrape or any type of test to see what's really going on. More meds. More money. I decided to just go to another vet. Honestly, it was the BEST decision I've ever made. They were shocked when I had told them my story and thanked me many times for bringing him in. You could really tell the difference between the two animal hospitals. My new vet truly cares about my puppy and is always so happy to see him. The vet and assistants are always playing with him and telling him how cute he is. They also do know that they're doing because my puppy is all good now. They did tests and prescribed some meds and I saw the difference in one week. So please everyone! I know it might be a little more expensive to go to another vet, but it's so worth it to not see your fur baby suffer! I also wanted to add that not all employees at NLVAH are horrible. It was mostly just the actual vet that did a bad job. The assistants were really kind. They should find a job at another animal hospital.
