| - I normally like Donovan's, but I made the mistake of going there for restaurant week and ordered that menu. Started with the lobster bisque, blandest I've ever had. Mostly cream and served in a ramekin. And skinned over, so been sitting there for restaurant week customers. Tritips for the main was what you'd get at your nephew's wedding - raggedy and smothered in sauce to hide it. Creme brulee to finish, which they should have served in the ramekin and used that size dish for the.bisque. The half I ate was good, so obviously not a restaurant week 'special'. Service was slow, manager stopped by and asked how it was. Ignored my less.tjan enthusiastic response and wished us a good experience, when our experience was pretty much finished. Dude, if you don't care, don't ask. Restaurant week is not a Groupon - if you don't want to give a good taste of what you can do, don't do it! A waste of our time and yours, and instead of winning customers, you've lost them. Take a tip from Capital Grille on restaurant week.
