| - My 2 boys went here for several years. They didn't learn how to swim much, which was a little irritating to me, but at least they felt comfortable in the water and got a little pool time during the winter (which is really what Aqua-tots is selling; water confidence, comfort & safety not swimming). It was clear from early on that the school has no incentive to teach kids to swim -their program seems very well planned to slow the learning process down. After two years, I couldn't even go watch my kids because it was painful to watch such poor swim lessons (I've seen better progress in a 30 minute session at a resort kid's club).
This May 2017, our family had to go overseas on short notice to take care of a dying relative. The boys missed 5 lessons each as a result; 10 lessons is about a $200 value. When they returned two months later, they went in to Aqua Tots to schedule their make-up classes. The person in charge said that they would only get their makeup classes if they re-enrolled in the program, which the person says is their policy.
The policy reads "Make-up lessons do not expire as long as a student is currently enrolled in our program." - we were no longer enrolled so, according to policy, the make-up lessons expired.
It is pretty clear why this outfit offered to "unexpired" those lessons if we re-enrolled - but to claim that it is policy - to unexpired lessons by re-enrolling - is just another example of a company putting profits before people.
Sorry Aqua-Tots - the policy double-talk was the last straw. This was an emergency bereavement situation to which you showed absolutely no compassion. As a result, you may no longer extract $170/month from my bank account - the thousands of dollars we have already spent with you, well let's just call that lessons learned. You won't be getting any more of my money but more importantly, we will now go out of our way to tell others to avoid Aqua-tots. It is ineffective and they are only interested in taking your money.
