Oh the furious rage that fills my mind when I think about this cursed company.
My flight was to leave at 6:45 am and I live 10 mins from the airport. I called Yellow Cab at 5:00 am asking for a 5:30 pickup.
5:35. I call asking for status. "Oh he's just one or two minutes away."
5:40. I call threatening to leave on my own if he doesn't show up in 30 seconds. "Seriously, he's right there, it'll be one or two minutes."
[I know. I'm not very intelligent.]
5:55. I drive myself and self-park, which takes more time than just driving to the airport as anyone smarter than me already knows.
6:15. I show up at the counter to be told I missed the mandatory 30 minute cut-off (yeah, seriously, by like 15 seconds), so now I'm on stand-by.
6:16 am to 3:45 pm. I miss flight after flight after flight because they're all booked.
I wound up purchasing an extra ticket on a separate airline to finally escape. I'm thankful to my firm for picking up the tab for that extra ticket. If it hadn't, I was going to sue these bastards in small claims court and, being a lawyer, nail them to the &$%*ing wall for punitive damages and anything else the judge would be willing to give me for screwing me over like this.
My cellphone was on the whole time I was at the airport by the way. They never called, as they usually do when they arrive at my gated condo building to let me know. Which means they never actually showed up.
I hate this cab company with a passion.
