  • There is definitely room for improvement!!! Let me start by saying that their Receptionist is their life saver and honestly it feels like she's the only one that cares. This is the first time we've rented a house from a real estate agency. You would think this would be better than renting from an individual and that the property management team would somewhat have the tennants best interest as well as the owner. However it surely hasn't felt that way thus far. First off, upon signing our papers to move in, our agent didn't even know her own contract that she was asking us to sign. For several pages of our contract she kept saying, "Uh .. This page goes over.. Um, y'know what, I'm not sure what this page is about, but you need to sign it." Or "I haven't actually read this page, but you need to sign it." Then, when I asked about the mail box keys, she said we had to get them from the Post Office. When I asked her which post office and how much the key would cost, she said, "I'm not sure. But you have to make sure you go to the correct one for your home." So naturally I asked, "Do you have an idea of which office that will be?" She said, "No." It took another agent, who was listening to us, to have to step in and get that information for us. Upon moving in, we were not advised by our agent to do an inspection. We did tell her however, that the ceiling fan lights did not work in the living room and master bedroom. You can imagine how hard and frustrating it is to not have light in the living room, and especially in the master bedroom. I literally walk into my room at night like a blind man, having to feel the walls on my way to my master bathroom just so that I can get a little bit of light in there! Since then we have had to wait almost two months, and still we are awaiting lights in our rooms! This is ridiculous! On top of that, we have lightbulbs that were burned out since we moved in, on the vaulted ceilings over our staircase, and we were told that we had to take care of that ourselves because our landlord doesn't want to pay for that. I just find it very frustrating that we pay all this rent money, and deposit money, and extra fees, but for some reason, we're still the ones left in the dark! Literally!
