Their providers are wonderful, but what good is having outstanding providers when the office staff is hideous? My mother missed an appointment because she was sick. She is elderly and suffers from several issues that can flare up without notice and make it impossible for her to leave the house. She was unable to make her appointment and too sick to get out of bed and call. They refuse to make her a new appointment until she pays them $50. She has Humana and Medicaid and lives on VERY LITTLE money. After explaining the situation to them several times they will not budge. They also refuse to let her make payments on the $50. Correction, she can make payments, but they wont let her come back until it's paid off. I left a message for the manager, but she/he never called me. My mother gets some of her medication through them and they have left her scrambling. I understand having to have a policy in place when you have habitual offenders, but to have a policy that is so stringent that it allows no room for common sense or compassion is not good business. It's especially not good business when you have people who are dependent on your services and you are the only provider they can see. Their ads on the radio say something about care, concern and compassion or some such nonsense, but yet their policies do not allow for any.
