  • Got to the Grand Canyon on time and had more than enough time to enjoy. My group had a total of 4 hours at the canyon. What I didn't like is that the bus that picked us up in the morning came a few minutes early, picked up myself and others in my group, along with a couple of other people and then went around the corner to the Excaliber and the bus driver got out and everyone on the bus sat there for 40 MINUTES!!!! Only two people got on after that whole time. Would have been nice for the driver to inform us that we would be sitting there idling so long. Then after that he drove across the street to another hotel and sat there as well, but at least people got on pretty quickly. We were the very last bus to get to the depot and were rush through the line to get our bus numbers and stickers and onto the bus taking us to the canyon, having to sit nearly in the very back near the restroom. I barely got to use their restroom at the depot, which by the way is a porta-potty trailer on the side of the building. Water or pee all over the floor, toilet paper all over the place, and toilets not flushing. Disgusting!!!! Anywho, Brandon, our driver, was pretty cool. He interacted with the passengers and made the trip enjoyable. He also played the videos for the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon and on the way back we watched a movie. Only issue I had with him, was when he dropped us off at the Excaliber he told my group to go into the main entrance and go left an that would get us to the bridge to the New York New York. We all were already exhausted and one person in my group was having issues with her legs bothering her, so image how ticked off we were where we found out that the instructions Brandon gave us took us to the Excaliber's parking garage entrance....we were told by another guest that the bridge to the New York hotel was all the way through the Excaliber's casino, down a ramp, then back up a ramp, and THEN we would find the bridge. Not sure why he didn't just tell us that to begin with, because that was not a short walk. Now wish we wouldn't have given him such a big tip. May not sound like a big deal, but when you have people in the group that are exhausted and ready to get back to the room, we were not amused at all. Would I recommend this company, yes....just take a taxi or Uber to the depot so you can get there early and not have to rush and get a decent seat that is not next to the restroom that everyone on the bus will blow up before your 10 hours trip is over with.
