  • This bank really went downhill over the years. First it was starting to charge us fees, and when we complained we were told that it was our responsibility to keep our friends and neighbors in their homes and cars. (Yeah, no... live within your means.) Then today we get a notice saying we will be charged an inactive fee for the account. I write to their chat to try to close the account and get told only my husband can do that, even though it's a joint account... then the woman starts discriminating and referring to me as "Ms. Wolf". Glad to know that your company employs ignorant bigots. Called in to complain and asked to speak to the branch manager at the McLeod branch, the woman asked why, I explained it and she starts doing the same thing. I went off on her, and now they're claiming we can't speak to anyone in a position of authority and they will only take requests in writing? What a load of bullshit. This bank really needs to go out of business already, or learn that proper business practice states that when a customer wants to speak to a manager, they get a manager. Period. EDIT: Despite giving them instructions on where to send our money after we closed our account, they sent it to an old address on file. Luckily we still had address forwarding on our mail, so the ignorant bigots couldn't prevent us from receiving our money. Keep it classy, Silver State!
