  • I love the Atwater market and in the winter La Fruiterie Atwater is the place to get your veggies. I love buying my vegetables from the multitude of local farmers that make the Atwater market their home in the summer but in the winter when the fields are covered by a layer of snow I find that the Fruiterie has a better selection, quality and price then the outdoor vendors. Let's face it in January all the tomatoes come From the same place and that isn't anywhere in Quebec. The nice thing about this shop is the fact that everyone who works there is so helpful, there's always someone close to answer questions and if you don't see what you're looking for ask them if they can get it. Odds are they can and usually help you out and if they can't get what you're looking for, I'd say it's because it isn't available. The only issue I have with this shop is the size of it, the ails are narrow and when there are more the a few people shopping for produce it gets hard to walk around. I suggest getting to the market early or during the week. This is the only reason why I gave the Fruiterie three stars.
