Rio does a lot of things right, but very few things exceptional. Eliminating complimentary valet parking makes the unfriendly to Local's. They are weak when it comes to greeting guests and getting them through a check in process. However, their suites are a nice change of pace. UPDATE: Complimentary Valet Parking is back if you are a hotel guest at Rio!
HOWEVER: The rotating door was union and despite having hands full of luggage and stuff, not a single nearby RIO employee offered or tried to hold the main entry door open for me or my wife. That is just plain rude when there were half a dozen Rio staffers right there within ten feet. THAT'S WHY this property only rates 3 stars... even at Motel 6 they will hold a door for you to enter.
