| - Well, where would a small business owner go if they needed something for their small business? To the Business Depot, of course...
So, this wicked (as you know all my ideas are wicked) came into my small business head: I need a stamp! You know, that little red ink stamp so that I can make my documentation look more official.
Asked around, was advised to go there. Well, i should have thought twice, since advice came from my ex (Oh boy, here I go again...) I mean, he really wishes me to succeed...
So, I come to this little counter and stand there. And stand there. And another 3 mins just standing there. Finally a girl (aren't they suppose to be at least 16 to work there) comes to me and with eyes wide open (hey, guys, look, there is a human being here!) asks me: "Do you need anything?"
Hmmm... I said, yes I did need a new Porsche, new husband and a tiny little red ink stamp for my tiny little business.
"Stamp?" - For a minute there I was mute as her question made me think if I was asking too much.
"Yes, self-inking stamp".
"Oh. Ok". Thank God, we did speak the same language.
She turned around and went to the back where a young gentleman was doing something. Something. Because he was just standing there with his back to the counter. I am sure he was thinking about customer service improvements.
To make this story a bit shorter: In about 10 minutes, finally having his undivided attention all to myself, I was put in front of a little device with a web camera and was instructed to wait till the rubber stump company rep somewhere in the outer rubber stamp space will start talking to me to take my order. Starring at a blank screen I studied my appearance and came to a conclusion I needed a haircut.
5 minutes went by and there still was no connection.
I asked (please note - VERY politely!) if there is another, more time efficient way for me to get the little stamp for my small business.
The barking that followed really made me think I should have gone for haircut instead.
My time wasted: 38 minutes. My stamp: was made in 1 day at Grand and Toy. Me go back there? No way....
