| - On a quest to find a coffee shop closer to where I currently live, I ran across Mothership and decided to give it a try.
The parking is ample, since it's located by a Trader Joe's in a plaza on Sunset and Green Valley Pkwy. Win. Plus, if you want groceries and caffeine, DOUBLE WIN. Anywho, it's a small place and can get crowded fast, so I'd dub it as a "take your coffee and be on your way" sorta place. The establishment is kept clean, and the customer service was GREAT. The people working there were cheery, knew the specials, and could make recommendations. Good on them.
The coffee was good. Definitely a lot better then most chains, and they actually know how to make a right, proper, espresso. I know this, because one of the first things my husband and I order at ANY coffee place we go to is the espresso. We call this "the test." Har har. It passed and I ordered their special for the month, which happened to be a "Lavender Cappuccino." It was great. The Lavender was well balanced with the coffee, and it tasted heavenly.
While I can't say much for their other coffee, based off of said cappuccino and espresso, I give the place a thumbs up. Will I drink there frequently? Probably not. But if I'm ever in the area and need some coffee, I might go back. If you are in the area, check it out. ;) Especially if you are shopping.
