| - I moved out of this complex in December 27, 2012 gave them my military orders and everything was finalized, they did a walk through and I asked them is everything good and they said yes. Paid all the bills, etc, told them I would only be in the country for another month before I had to leave to Korea. So forward to 6 months later, I checked my credit score and notice a debt had gone into collection. I was infuriated since I did have good credit. I checked what debt it came from, turns out to be from Renaissance Villas, so I called the Debt collection agency which told me I had to pay 175 dollars. I had asked them for what, turns out Renaissance Villas charged me with cleaning fees, I thought it was a joke, I had the receipts and they told me everything was good when I finaled out.
The thing that really makes me mad is the fact they didn't contact me for a month that was in the states to discuss this matter and I would have paid for it to not affect my Credit score. And on top of that I left them my Email address in which they could have took their damn time to sent me information regarding it!
Instead the only way I ever saw this was through my credit score getting hit!
So if you are a new apartment renter, please choose some place that doesn't stab you in the back with hidden fees when you move out.
