| - Do not hire Proficient Patios, there are too many other companies willing to earn your business. If you have ever worked with a company that made you feel you didn't matter, just hire Proficient Patios and they will take it to an entirely new level.
The issues weren't as much with the staff, but with the co-owner Jessica Lane. An absolute abortion of a business owner. She coordinated all the work done on our project without any regard for the customer. A week after receiving our deposit, we had to follow up for a start date. Once work began, workers came and went with no schedule, little communication and no oversight. They would just show up for an hour...leave and show up again hours later. This process went on for three weeks.
We signed off on plans for a walkway and patio. Their workers framed the job wrong and we had to have a manager come out to verify we were getting what we paid for. The measurements were not correct. The workers absolutely knew they didn't do the job correctly. They just put the burden on us to call attention to it.
Unbeknownst to us, they took our side gate off and raised it to accommodate the walkway. The newly raised gate in line with the block wall made it look awkward. Not the biggest deal, but just another opportunity to communicate they passed up. Again...no supervision or oversight.
We repeatedly informed their staff of water lines, but no one communicated and ended up busting one. (pictured). Again...our problem.
Our walkway and patio was outlined with pavers. Instead of using nicely finished smaller blocks to complete the design, they cut existing pavers, making the appearance awkward. (pictured) While the contract didn't say they would be cutting the pavers, it didn't say they wouldn't either. Needless to say, that didn't matter as Jessica had no regard for our input or concern. While we were trying to work that issue out, their employee put down the paver grout which hardens when wet. With rain in the forecast, Jessica delayed helping to address our issue for two days and it ended up raining on our patio, bonding the grout in a sloppy and messy way. (pictured)
No one cared. No one came out to our job site for a quality check. No one ever thanked us for our business. They were, however, quick to ask for final payment. Typical bottom feeders.
There is no reason to make this up. I wish I didn't even have to write this review. These jobs cost a lot of money (about 4k) and future customers need to be aware of the business practices of Jessica Lane and Proficient Patios. Maybe your job would get done better, but why take a chance. Just steer clear of these criminals.
