| - This place should be called "Brave". You'd need to be to want to go back.
Where to begin? We got to the restaurant Friday evening just after 7:30. Despite seeing several tables available, I was asked if I had a reservation. Nope. So when I was told it would be a 45-60 minute wait because I didn't have one, I hopped on OpenTable and made a rez for 7:45.
"Yes", I said. "I have a reservation for 7:45."
The hostess got huffy and went and got a manager. I explained that I went on OpenTable and made my rez after I was told there would be a 45-60 minute wait. I played by their rules, and the millennial hostess decided to get upset. "After all, the restaurant is 1/2 empty. A potential hour wait seems a little absurd", I observed.
The manager protested that his place was half empty (it turned out to be more than that). But I remained cool headed and just told him to seat me after he seated everyone else waiting (there was nobody waiting).
My gf and I eventually were seated. I am 100% certain that the manager decided to mess with me because every single dish came out of the kitchen wrong. The salad had no goat cheese and was overly slimy. When I mentioned it, I was given a tiny cup on the side rather than re-making the slimy salad. The Mac and cheese was under seasoned, my gf's sushi was hastily strewn about the plate, it took 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and the first brownie desert we got was so overcooked and burnt it couldn't be cut.
I'm SO glad I ordered the extra spit. (I'm nearly certain, though have no proof.)
Anyhow, we were there on a $100 gift card and since I will never go back, I tipped the waiter the $25 of change I could have gotten back. He did fine, it's really too bad his manager and hostess were such clowns.
If I could shut this place down, I would.
Pro tip: Avoid it.
