  • It has been way too long since I've been impressed by a meal at a restaurant. It seems that lately if I go out to eat I leave feeling unsatisfied and that I could have made the food better, quicker and for way less cash myself than what I just experienced dining out. Enter Vovomeena! This place knocked my socks off! Wow! Great atmosphere, good music, friendly staff and the place is so clean and comfortable (even the bathrooms here are relaxing and beautiful). And talk about the menu! Johnnycakes oh my! Corn and chili pancakes with prickly pear maple syrup- what?!!! DELICIOUS! And the coffee from Morning Moonshine, a roaster I'll admit I'd never heard of before but am SO glad I've discovered! That's coming from a Portland, Oregon food capital foodie but thank goodness my mom lives in Phoenix and I can count on visiting Vovomeena each time I'm in town. Granted I have only tried the breakfast here (after all it is the best meal of the day is it not?) but I'm certain if you chose anything from the menu it would not disappoint. I highly recommend grabbing a meal and cup of joe here.
