  • I would have previously given five stars except that today i drove 20 minutes to my appointment and when i mentioned that i was pregnant the owner beverly treated me like a pariah telling me that it is not ok to have a massage in the first trimester because it can induce miscarriage. which is a blatant and out right lie. There are absolutely no scientific studies that can prove this - i just looked. All of the information out there, including that from my midwife and doctor, says that massage is appropriate in all trimesters. reducing stress in pregnancy is important - being treated like i'm doing something wrong and injurious is definitely not in the vein of stress reduction. i found the entire scenario unprofessional especially since she is delivering untrue information.
