| - I've been having some health issues and have been to numerous walk ins over the past few weeks, and it hasn't been much fun. I was so relieved to find this place, wow. For one, you can walk straight out of the Rexall down a ramp into the clinic and there's even a drop off window for the pharmacy IN the clinic proper. That's cool. The seating is fairly limited, but there was no overflow while I was there.
The receptionist was p rude to me, but I'm not at a clinic to see a receptionist. I waited maybe seven minutes and was called in! V exciting. The doctor was a young woman who, despite me just being there for a b12 shot, was incredibly informative, took her time, and made me really comfortable. She even reviewed some of my other health conditions, expressed concern, and offered to take me on as a patient. Yay!!-Edit: This was Dr. Easty, who is now my family doctor and is honestly the most thorough doctor I've ever had. She is prompt at replying to emails (get used to using email, because despite having three receptionists, you will never, ever have a call answered) and extremely knowledgeable while still being sweet and welcoming. I feel so confident with her-my first visit yielded three different tests to identify the reasons for a fairly serious issue I've had numerous doctors skim over for the past four years.
Also, if you are non-binary/trans, she is INCREDIBLY good about it. She even referred me to another clinic for gender-specific stuff, bc she acknowledged that it isn't her specialty. She changed my name in the system to ensure my chosen name would be used regardless of where I am, as opposed to my given one, and she apologized profusely for not using my correct pronouns before I even told her them. This was all within our first visit. So. This is a trans-friendly clinic as far as I can tell (!!).
The clinic is also impeccably clean and wheelchair accessible. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because, as I mentioned above, the phones are absolutely never answered and reception is pretty crappy. I had to spend money to go to the location to ask a receptionist how to get through to my family doctor for a question, because the bloodwork clinic I was at had called with an inquiry about my requested tests, and predictably no one answered, so I was unable to proceed with part of them. The reception desk is pretty terrible all around. There are always three of them, and they will let six people line up and wait upwards of five minutes before even acknowledging anyone. Besides that hiccup, I can't recommend this place highly enough.
