| - DO NOT go here if you need to use the child care! I am a mother of two children ages 4 + 5. I have been going there for one year with no problems until recently where there was one individual who started working in the child care. This particular individual was someone who would sit behind the desk in the childcare room and be on her phone. She did not mingle with the children and let her presence be known. My friend that I work out with also has two children of the same ages. And our kids are energetic rambunctious easily bored. There was nothing in there for them to do, it was set up more for toddlers. Although previous workers would play games and interact eith the kids. This one individual would call us about anything happening with our kids. She was unable to take control of any given situation. Even when there were only my kids in the room. The last time that we were there, my son who is 4, likes to play with older boys and he likes to play fight and he apparently was trying to play with an 8 year old boy. The 8 yr old did not like what my son was doing and told him to stop. The worker apparently told him to stop, probably from her desk, but he prceeded. The 8 yr old punched my son in the face and he got a bloody nose. I was not upset that my kid got punched, I'm upset that the adult in the room couldnt handle the situation. It was the last straw. After leaving that day, I talked to my kids to hear their side. They agreed things were getting rowdy, but said my son ran into the back of someone, causing the bloody nose. I called back to give their side, and the manager said that my kids were liars. Kids do lie, but that was disrespectful. We are talking about little kids. When I picked up my copy of the incident report, their side was not stated. It basically blaimed my 4 year old. Other things too. Once I walked in to pick up my kids, and my daughter,5, was sitting on the ground holding a baby, 6months maybe, and when she saw me she let the baby roll off of her lap. The baby was fine, but the worker was sitting at the desk and didnt even notice! If that was my baby, I would not be happy. Before this situation, i talked to her and the manager. Suggested she needed to walk around, interact with the kids. Suggested she needed to be more authoritative. I said that they probly wouldnt listen if she was behind the desk. Suggested serparating them occasionally, time outs, etc. She stated that she did not feel comfortable doing so. I'm not sure what the qualifications are for a person working in a gym childcare facility my guess is not much. I did make a complaint to corporate but I'm sure nobody cares. Save yourself the time and agony and money and go somewhere else.
