We finally set-up our 150 gallon Salt tank after it was empty for 2 years.
We went to Kona Reef to get some Chromis starter fish. They survived fine over the next 4 weeks we went back every week to buy more fish and live corals.
The staff steered us to fish that would get along and not to what they wanted to sell us.
The store isn't the least expensive but has a great selection of fish and supplies. On the other hand their tanks are super clean and after adding 15 fish and 3 corals I'm happy to report all are alive and well. The corals are growing nicely even without expensive lighting.
I have bought fish from other stores and have always lost 1-2 fish over the next few weeks.
The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. It's a great place for all your Reef and aquarium needs.
The only thing I wish they had was a quick way to check prices for the fish.
Using a tablet to look up the prices is very Tech, but cumbersome and slow.
