Noodles are the heart and soul of Asian cuisine and I know that finding a genuinely good and authentic noodle house is an exciting prospect for all of you fans out there just as it is for us.
I discovered this place just by surfing online and when I learned that one of my Elite Yelp friends, on whose opinion I rely religiously, had given it a 5-star review I knew we had to try it as soon as possible.
My girlfriend and I were pleasantly greeted with a small plate of pickled daikon and boiled peanuts.
We the shared a small order of Spicy Hot Pig Ear appetizer, Noodles with Minced Pork Sauce, and Ox Tail with Soup Noodles.
The portion sizes for all the dishes was very generous and more than enough for the two of us.
The texture of the pig ear was delectably tender and satisfying and it was served at a perfect slightly warm temperature with just the right amount of spice. We ended up mixing some of slices of pig ear to both noodle dishes to add an extra dimension of yumminess,
We ordered regular pulled noodles with the minced pork and shaved noodles with the ox tail and we thoroughly enjoyed the excellent consistency of both as we watched the chef pulling more noodles in the kitchen
The soup broth was yummy with good depth of flavor, the ox tail was tender, and the minced pork was nicely seasoned, and the veggies were properly cooked.
My girlfriend, who is a native of mainland China, vouched for the authenticity of all the dishes.
The service was prompt and courteous and the prices were reasonable.
This restaurant is now on our list of favorites and we will definitely return.
