I am already sad for the day when post offices will become a thing of the past. That being said, I wish that for customers and for employees that visiting a post office could be a bit more of a bright, cheery experience. Why does government office mean stultifyingly dim & dreary?
I will say that there is usually one staff member on duty that seems to hold the office of cheer-monger who will lightly joke his or her way through the transaction so that you leave with a smile.
It is hard to get someone on the phone there, so you're better off calling the 800 number for any questions or concerns or visit the website.
