| - I have not been to this location yet and decided to walk there after an appointment.
.5 miles after, I felt I deserved everything I was about to order!!
First, I must say... My server was a man completely void of joy or personality or any kind of zest for "seize the day". No expression. Nada.
I got the crab and artichoke dip first. Delicious but soooooo greasy. There was a whole layer of oil on the bottom of the dish. Jeez. Well, I ate it anyway. Put a ton of hot sauce on it too.
Next, I ordered blackened chicken and a side of seasonal veggies and a salad with balsamic. My server, of course, the conversationalist he was, didn't tell me that their balsamic is basically oil, sugar and herbs. Tasty but super sweet and not what I wanted. The chicken was great, juicy and a little spicy. I added a ton of hot sauce (love it) and the veggies were sautéed well but again, sooooooooo oily. Mother of God. Heavy hand in the kitchen. It was basically swimming in oil. Too much for me. I ate them anyway.
Shrimp Creole was the last dish. Pretty tasty but I am pretty sure the shrimp is farm raised because, o boy, do your hands smell like shrimp butt if you choose to pick them up without a fork!! Gross. But the tomato stew was great with a nice strong creole kick.
It's good stuff, I love it, but a suggestion or two.. Pride yourselves with Wild caught seafood and ease up on so much oil. No need to drown sautéed veggies in all of that grease.
Server didn't get a decent tip, I don't tip faceless, removed and bland people. Sorry.
