Today is the soft opening of Kung Fu Tea and I had to try their bubble tea. There's a BOGO promo going on from now until May 25 - the BOGO drink changes every few days (see the flyer I uploaded). I got the pearl milk tea, half sweet and light ice. The tea was delicious! You can tell that it's a really good quality Taiwanese tea and even at half sweet, it was sweet enough for me. The bubble to tea ratio was perfect. The bubbles (tapioca pearls) were chewy without falling apart. The service was excellent - the server even wiped down the sides of the cups before handing them to me. I can't wait to go back and try their other teas.
Just tried their agar bubble grapefruit green tea - I ordered it half sweet with no ice. The agar bubbles were not my thing, the texture was strange and had an extra chewy/bouncy feeling when you bite into it. The green tea with grapefruit went really well together, there was even real grapefruit pulp. It did leave an acidic feeling in my mouth though. I'm not sure if I'll order it again.
Their kung fu mascot/logo is really cute too. They have a huge one displayed outside the store and the interior decor was clean and sleek, with their mascot on the walls along with some Chinese writing that I can't read. Oh, there's also a free milk tea event on May 10, so don't miss out!
