| - If you've never experienced the Wooden Door Winery, I highly suggest you do so. I can't say enough good things, and frankly I'm not even sure where to start.
It's kind of far out there, and can be easy to miss if you're not seeking it out, but it's worth the trek. The inside is beautiful- so much thought went into the decor and the layout. Dim lighting, a beautiful bar and seating area set up inside of what looks like a wine cellar. The high top tables are actually barrels with glass set on top, with corks spread out under the glass- beautiful! The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and can answer just about any question you have. The make their own wine and it's a family effort which is awesome.
They offer you 3 free tastings and if you purchase a souvenir wine glass for $3, you get 5 tastings with that. There wine list a big, but not overwhelming and like I said, any questions you have, they've got you covered.
Theres tons of outside seating in a beautiful, peaceful setting, and they have a decent sized food menu consisting of some lighter options, like sandwiches, burgers, and appetizers.
We ended up having a couple glasses after our 5 tastings, and then each bought our own bottle, we loved it! Let's just say my hubs is the best and knows what I like with this little surprise afternoon trip, and we'll definitely be earning our frequent flyer status, that's for certain!
