| - This company is almost a relic from the days of the snake oil era.
These folks are not to be trusted, in my humble opinion. I'm embarrassed that I fell for their pitch. I managed hundreds of millions of dollars in business for large companies but I mismanaged a couple of thousand of my own.
I, in haste, after buying a home and accepting a referral from another home vendor, took a meeting and signed a contract with RK to have them adapt an existing system and link it to ADT. RK is a "dealer", not ADT itself.
The system has not worked properly for more than a few days at a time over the first ten months. I shut it off completely a couple of months ago. It will never work properly and a buyout is my only way of ridding myself of the ADT relationship. RK is not a good group to contract with and ADT is not an honest provider. In my case, ADT knows the system will never work properly until some other utility based services are upgraded in my area. Also, ADT is not transparent about who receives the money from any buyout. They imply its RK who gets the buyout. Actually ADT bought their contract. They, ADT, could act in good faith and negotiate a fair buyout given they know my system will never work properly. However, they don't have to legally. My only recourse is hours of memorialization and paperwork and small claims. I'd rather play golf.
If this review saves one person from signing on with ADT or their dealer (s) in phoenix, I will feel I've done something good for local consumers, only a small thing but a good thing.
