I am now 1 year post Lasik surgery from TLC and my review is based on personal experience. The office staff and Clinical Director are all great. I have no complaints whatsoever with them. My first issue is that you do not actually see the doctor that is doing the surgery until the day of the surgery. They put you in a room with 5+ other people on the day of your surgery and that is when the doctor makes his grand entrance. He does his presentation to all the people in one room, then the office people start giving you meds and a bunch of different eye drops, and then they "herd" you into a room to do the actual procedure. I felt like everything was really rushed and that Dr. Jaben was sort of aggravated when I asked a question about the procedure. After your consultations and procedure, I have not been back to TLC and only to my regular eye doctor.
Since my surgery 1 year ago, dry eye is still a big issue for me. I do not remember this being communicated to me that it would potentially last this long or be this bad and I really wish I would have known it. I have to carry eye drops with me everywhere I go and constantly have to put them in. It is even worse at night time and I have to wake up during the night just to add drops because my eyes are hurting. If I knew then what I know now, I would have stuck with my contacts and not had Lasik performed. In my opinion, 20/15 vision is not worth how bad dry-eye can be or the risk of it being as bad as it is for me.
