| - I really wanted to give Scottsdale KinderCare a chance. Even with the bad reviews, we still scheduled a tour for infant care for our baby due in March 2018. Upon arrival, it took about a minute for the Assistant Director to greet us at the door. There is a doorbell, but the door was so rickety, we were almost able to open it. You could also tell that she was not prepared and had no idea who we were. She was also still chewing on her breakfast food. We explained to her that we had scheduled a tour for that morning. She asked who we spoke to and we said the Director. She said she has no record of it, but would still take us on a tour. However, in addition to the cluster of not being prepared, the tour couldn't have been more rushed. We felt like she couldn't wait for us to get out of there. She also didn't seem to have all of the information that an Asst. Director should have. When asked about pricing, she couldn't confirm if a certain Aetna discount was applicable to the infant room. They charge $299/week and a 10% discount would've really helped a lot. But, she had no clue. Also, the building is older, so understandable that it's not going to be as "pretty" as other places. And that is ok. A pretty building is not on our priority list for child care. However, the place just looked and felt dirty and filthy all around. The entire front area was filled with boxes labeled "child files." Piles and supplies were stacked up throughout the halls and it seemed like no one was happy to work there. We toured the infant room and it was pretty standard, but there were no cameras in the rooms and the teachers didn't have much tenure. Again, we felt so rushed and like they didn't want us there. I would not feel comfortable leaving my baby there. Further, the parking is not really convenient at all, and it's on a major street. This was last week and we never received a follow up call. I do not recommend this facility at all.
