| - Pretty cool! I'd say it's a must do. It's massive and you can pretty much see it from all over the strip, so that alone will probably pique your interest. We purchased our tickets on Groupon because it was slightly cheaper. It ended up being an excellent idea because the pick up line for the vendor sales was much, much shorter than the general line for tickets. We went on a Saturday night so we were expecting the crowds that many other yelp reviews speak of. We saw no such thing. Yes, it was quite a bit of hoops and hurdles to actually get up to the wheel, but barely any line. We stopped at the bar and got our drinks and were on our way about 5 minutes later. The whole place was very well-organized and fully staffed. I was a little freaked out getting on the wheel when I saw that it doesn't actually stop... you need to kind of run on along with a huge group of people, which made me nervous. Nobody touch me! lol.
It takes about 30-35 minutes to make it's way all the way around. Each pod holds about 40 people. We only had about 20 in ours, so it wasn't bad. The first 10 minutes are a little boring because you can't see much yet. But man once you start getting up to the top... beautiful views of the strip and beyond! You go up so high, it makes most of the gigantic hotels seem so small. Amazing photo ops. There were some annoying people who stayed in the prime viewing spot the entire ride, so we had to evict them to the other side of the pod for a bit, lol.
Overall, I enjoyed our visit. I think it's kind of a do once type of thing, especially with the higher pricing.. so I don't know that I'd go again. But everyone should go at least once!
