| - So I have two reviews for the Elara. One good/one bad.
First the bad: we started calling Luis, the Cabana Manager, the Cabana Nazi! We're Elite members and couldn't believe how bad it was. We paid the $100 member fee for a cabana that supposedly fits 12 people, but only has seats for 3. No kidding. When we asked to get more seating, we were told it was against the rules. When we started bringing over lounge chairs for our guests to sit, old Luis wasn't happy and advised that this wasn't allowed. When I told him that I wanted to talk to the manager, we were all of a sudden allowed to keep the extra seating.
We were told that we had to be at the Cabana by 9am. Which we were. Our plan was to settle the charge, go have breakfast, and come back and spend the day by the pool. We were then told that we were not allowed to leave. What?? I'm paying your fee and now we can't leave the premises....why does that no make sense?? We were told that if we left, they would rent the Cabana to someone else, and we'd forfeit our $100 fee.
Now the good: with the exception of the 7moths that we killed, we loved our 4 bedroom suite. The checkin staff were great and the bell desk guys were super helpful.
Overall, we'd come back....just not utilize the Cabana area...which is too bad. Doing stuff like that, is why you come to Vegas.
