We have been going to this Baskin Robbins for the greater part of 3 years. Normally we go later at night and even caught them right at closing time. Normally they are appreciative and welcoming.
This time was different. We arrive there shortly before 8:50 in the evening and there was a line already. This does not bother us since, there is usually a line there. Problem was, there was one girl running the front counter and the other worker spent the ENTIRE time washing dishes. Each customer before me ordered a shake. We waited in line 42 minutes before we got our order. After about 20 minutes, we decided to wait JUST to see how long it would take. This was a mistake. Being so short staffed, we couldn't even sample any flavors while we waited.
When it was our turn, the dishwasher finally came up to take our order. He didn't wash his hands and proceeded to pick up a scoop. My girl ordered one scoop of some caramel ice cream. he asked if she wanted one scoop and she said yes to the one scoop of caramel. Before she could tell him her second flavor scoop, he put it in a single bowl. When she told I'm she was getting another scoop, he replied "I can't. I already put it in a single bowl." At that point, we were fairly annoyed. I ordered my two scoops of cherry fudge ice cream. I noticed before we left that my ice-cream was melted and in a puddle in my cup. At this point, we just left. Both workers went into the dish area and had started to wash dishes.
This has been by far the worst customer experience we have had at this location. My girlfriend and I agreed that we should have waited there at the site and asked for a refund. The service was terrible and the ice cream was melted (pictures taken).
We like this location and hope things change here. Warning... if there are more than 3 people in line... be prepared to wait a LONG time.
