I absolutely do not recommend this security service. Their equipment is faulty at best and completely inoperable at worst. The doorbell camera installation also caused some cracks in the stucco, and on top of that, the installer tried to sell me leggings for his wife's "business" (I say business because it's Lularoe). Back to the equipment, though. In less than 2 years we've had technicians come out at least 5 times. Did I mention YOU have to pay for a technician to come out? Yes, it's THEIR faulty equipment that continuously fails and the customer has to fork over $50 every time it happens on top of the monthly fee (for our package, it's $60ish). It's absolutely ridiculous how many equipment failures there have been in such a short time. If I wasn't locked into contract for a couple more years and if terminating the contract wouldn't cost me over 1K, I would have ended things with Vivint a long time ago. I would just invest in a really good home security system with push notifications enabled--ESPECIALLY for the price you're paying. Just imagine: I'm paying $60 a month and locked into a 4 year contract. If I didn't have Vivint, that'd be an extra 3K I could throw down on some reliable equipment.
