The Richmond Hill Centre For The Performing Arts is the premiere destination for performances of all kind in Richmond Hill and York Region (matched only by the Flato Markham Theatre).
By summer it's street side courtyard is home to numerous outdoor performances and musical performances such as the Summer Jazz series - a free weekly performance to anyone who wants to stop by.
For the remainder of the seasons, the RHCPA is home to legends of the stage and song and film, as they consistently provide a seasonal program that appeals to guests of all ages from various interest groups. Just this past year you could catch award winning independent films which debuted at TIFF, see R&B icons BoyzIIMen perform live (ya! In Richmond Hill) or even catch figure skating legend Elvis Stojko bring his skating styles back in a whole new inline-performance!
For those into architecture, you'd be interested to learn that the same architect who designed the Four Seasons Performing Arts Centre in Toronto was also responsible for the design of the RHCPA. This is why its two floor, open concept, glass encased design bares such a strong resemblance to it's bigger Toronto relative which is home to the Canadian Opera Company (COC).
The 2013/14 season is just getting underway and I recommend you check out their box office for upcoming shows this season - I know I will!
