My wife had made reservation at Aquaknox on Valentine's and celebrate my 49th birthday which she had mentioned it on Open Table.. She choosen this restaurant because was highly recommended by her boss. We have been dining in so many fine dining restaurants in Las Vegas. We had to say this was the worse experience ever. Our reservation was at 8 15 pm. We received a call to confirm our reservation and she had mentioned that we'll be celebrating my b-
day and look forward to have us. So we showed up and got sat at the worse
table in front of wine vault. The staff kept going in and out. The door was hitting my wife chair few times. Finally the front server Chris came to our table had mentioned that the servers who I had requested upon my reservation Tanya, Jesse or Mark were not available. So we had ordered some wine and bottled water then we ordered our meal. Finally we got our appetizer octopus with spicy sauce and lobster bisque. Food was dropped at the table with no explanations of the dish. I guess we have high expectation cause most fine dining restaurants that's what they do. The severs never checked back to see how was the appetizers till we were done. The water glasses were empty. Front server had no clue that we were drinking bottled water. Couldn't find our water so had to open another one. I get it if the restaurant was busy but it's not. There was no bread at the table. We didn't know that we have to ask for it. Finally we got our main course which is pretty good. Again servers never explain the dishes nor checked back till the end of the meal. We have heard the chocolate souffle was awesome so we told our server that we wanted one of those do we need to order ahead of time. He said no because it was not the traditional one. Then I said OK we'll try it. This conversation was take place when we ordered our meal. Well after we finished our main course getting ready to order desert, I had told our server that you guys were out of chocolate souffle because I heard one of your staff had told one of the server who were right behind me 15 minutes ago. Our server had no clue, he went in the kitchen to find out and it was true that they were out. So we ordered creme brulee. Took them quite sometime to bring it out. I don't know that your restaurant doesn't do b-day for your guests but at least say happy birthday. Nothing not a word. On top of that our server put our leftover in paper bag and didn't close the top really good so on the way back to our car the bag was soaking wet from the sauce and dripping all over myself. Normally we don't complaint if there is few little things but this was BAD from the beginning till the end. Especially if your staff kept saying welcome back cause we had asked for specific servers, they should be on top of the game. We spent this kind of money, we expect to have some kind of service.
