| - Travelling through Peoria / Phoenix for Christmas and New Year's, this studio was less than 10 minutes from Westbrook Village where were staying. Although there were lots of times and classes available, the 7:30 am practice worked best for my timeline. I did both the Yin Flow and the Yin classes.
The Yin is very different from the "usual" Hot Yoga I do at home, wowzers! was it right for what my body needed after a long journey.
But... that is my story, and not yours.
My three practices all had Amber Samplin leading. She is very knowledgeable, and due to the small number of participants during my visit, was very able to assist working with my body which is not terribly nimble at the best of times and certainly not after a long drive. For the other participants in the classes, she worked with them, assisting in expressing the poses in the "best" way possible for their bodies.
The studio operates on a donation basis, which is nice for those travelling through, or local residents who only want to pick up a few classes. The community seemed very pleasant, as the 9am classes were much more busy.
I would not hesitate to return to this studio. I would travel there if we returned and stayed further east... is it possible to stay further west than Westbrook? :)
An excellent experience for a travelling yogi, I'm going to suggest that it would be an excellent regular experience for those that call the desert home.
