Not sure I understand the poor reviews. Previous to last night I'd only had Honey Bears samples from Beer Fests in Phoenix and have had no complaints.
Well last night during a First Friday reconnaissance mission we chose to go for a late dinner. Walking in is pretty much a time warp to the 70s/80s when things didn't need to be glitzy. You walk up to the counter, order and you can get either a sandwich or by the pound. We ordered Corn on the cobb, 1/2 lb of pork, and cowboy beans.
The order came up in five minutes and we sat down. The Beans were spicy and perfect, pork and sauce solid. Smart choice.
